My mom had an amazing orchid garden and every year I am amazed at how beautiful these cymbidium orchids are. She passed away a few years ago, and one of the things we worried about was keeping her orchids alive because they meant so much to her. Every year we are so happy when we see them bloom. I’m glad I get to share a bit of their beauty in this painting.

I am a palette knife painter, meaning I created the entire painting by using only a palette knife. It is painted on cotton canvas and framed. I use Winsor and Newton water mixable oil paint, which allows me to avoid using other hazardous mediums.
